Currently
we house cats at two different locations: Sandy's house, and our land
out off west Carswell on the recently named Brier Patch Lane (still waiting on the county to put up a sign...). Eventually we hope to have our entire facility
located out at our land, but for now, financial constraints are limiting
our ability to build. Below are some pictures of our setup out at the
land as it exists currently.
We own eight
acres off of West Carswell (122), of which three have been put into
pasture, and the rest are planted pines. Within the pasture are two
horses, and a fenced in yard containing a 1951 Spartan Royal Mansion
trailer and a tri-level A-frame building, and house built in the early 1900s, which was recently moved out there and are in the long, slow process of restoring. Both the Spartan and the A-frame
are there for the kitties' benefit. They each have entrances through which the kitties can enter and exit at all
times. They also each contain litter boxes, for as we all know, no cat
wants to go outside to answer the call of nature while it's raining! Below are
some photos of our set-up out at our land. Enjoy!

The
name 'brierpatch' is no coincidence... we get tons of blackberries every year!

As yet, there is neither electricity nor running water at our sanctuary - all the water for the animals and plants is pumped by hand.
