These cats are Yukie (front) and Netta (rear). Yukie (pronounced yoo-kee) is incredibly sweet and affectionate, whereas Netta is more standoffish... unless, of course, you have food! Netta and Yukie prefer to spend their time indoors. Both Netta and Yukie have been spayed.

This is Silly. He is very shy around strangers, but incredibly sweet and snuggly once he gets to know you. Silly has been neutered, and he prefers to spend his time indoors.


This is Grey Kitty - a gorgeous and super-sweet long-haired cat. He has a chronic sinus infection, which renders him perpetually sniffly. However, the vet assures us that he is not suffering any discomfort, and it is not contagious. Grey has been neutered, and he prefers to spend his time indoors.
This is Eva. She and her siblings were abandoned as six week old kittens at the gate to a nearby state park in December 2009. She is very sweet, although shy. Eva is a spayed female who lives indoors.
Pandy is a neutered male who enjoys both the indoors and the outside world. He is incredibly friendly and outgoing.
This is Spot, a spayed female. She currently lives out at our land, although she would love more than anything to be an indoor cat in a single-cat family. She is very shy around people until she gets to know them, then she is very sweet. She is easily scared by other cats and by dogs.
This is Toto, a spayed female who lives out at our land. She loves living outdoors, although she'd be willing to be an indoor or indoor/outdoor cat. Toto is very outgoing, and is not shy around humans, other cats, or dogs.
This is Teardrop, a neutered male who lives out at our land. He loves living outdoors, although he'd be willing to be an indoor or indoor/outdoor cat. Teardrop is very outgoing, and is not shy around humans, other cats, or dogs.
This is Big Guy, a neutered male. He showed up out at the land all on his own as a feral cat... although he soon became very friendly. In November 2009 he got into a serious catfight with someone (or perhaps with a wild animal or stray dog, we don't know) - and was seriously injured. You can see his injuries here. However, he has fully recovered, and as you can see, he is doing quite well. He loves living outdoors, although he'd be willing to be an indoor or indoor/outdoor cat. Big Guy is very outgoing, and is not shy around humans, other cats, or dogs.
This is Zephyr. He and his siblings were abandoned as six week old kittens at the gate to a nearby state park in December 2009. He is very sweet, silly, and playful, and was neutered in May 2010. He enjoys being both indoors and outside.
This is Tux, a neutered male born in early 2010.
He will let Sandy approach him, but no one else.
This is Buddy. He is a feral cat who was trapped in Jane's former neighborhood, and lived in Jane's bathroom for a month after getting neutered while she tried to domesticate him. Unfortunately, Buddy remains completely feral. He was moved out to the land back in June 2009, and continues to do well... although he won't come within twenty feet of a human! (Thank goodness for zoom lenses!)
abby 1 and Tabby 2 were trapped and fixed in 2009 when they were about six months old. By that time, they were too feral to be tamed. Sometimes they will let Sandy pet them while they eat, though, which is progress!

George FIV+ and FeLV+ neutered male - available for adoption! George must live indoors in a single-cat household.
FLAME is a beautiful white/flame point 2 yr. old spayed female cat--sweet, playful and friendly. Unfortunately she has tested positive on one type of FeLV (feline leukemia) test, although negative on another. Because she could possibly infect other cats she has to live in a room by herself, and she is soooo lonely. She could be someone's perfect only cat.

 Siblings Tuffy and Dusty are our oldest cats. They were found by Sandy as kittens on the grounds of Lake City Community College in Florida back in 2000
This is Abs. He was born in May 2010, and found on the side of the road as a tiny kitten with a severely injured eye. Initially we thought he would be blind in that eye, but with treatment, it has nearly completely healed. His internal eyelid on that eye doesn't completely retract, but it gives him no problems.
This is Echo. She was rescued from a gas station parking lot in Lake City, FL as a newborn kitten back in 2002.

Bagira came from the country of Kyrgyzstan, where Jane lived during 2008.
This is Rinky.




This is Zuzy. She and her siblings came from someone who hadn't gotten his female cat fixed, and who would have taken all the kittens to the local animal shelter had we not stepped in. We found homes for Zuzy's siblings, but she still lives with Sandy.
